Help My Grandma Day Award Ceremony
A digital storytelling contest promoting intergenerational volunteerism
The Digital Health Circle is delighted to present the Help My Grandma Day Award Ceremony, taking place at the Segal Building (500 Granville St, Vancouver), on March 2nd, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, featuring a selection of videos created by student videographers that share entertaining and poignant stories of seniors’ life experiences.
We are excited to bring the Help My Grandma Day Award Ceremony to the Segal Building for the first time. This event will bring together seniors and students with the goal of promoting intergenerational connections through a digital storytelling contest. Winning videos have been selected by members of diverse communities including senior centres. During the event a panel of judges will select and celebrate the first, second and third prize winners from the five finalists. We are grateful to Simon Fraser University who has sponsored one year of full tuition for the lucky first prize winner.
This event is a great opportunity for students who wish to build their network in the digital health technology industry, as field experts will be attending, and to connect with members of the community through a fun and engaging experience. It is also an inspiring opportunity for members of our community to engage with people who are interested in sharing and listening to different experiences through diverse lenses. The event is free for anyone who wishes to join this celebration. If you wish to attend please RSVP by February 28th via email at projects@digitalhealthcircle.ca or via phone at (778) 782-7319.
We hope to see you all there!
