Increase Uptake and Commercial Success of with Healthcare Professionals
In the healthcare industry, continuity of service is of the utmost importance. Like any other profession, however, there can be shortages of doctors due to leaves, retirement, or patient overflow. Locum doctors are responsible for filling in during such shortages. In recent years, working as a locum has become increasingly popular for many physicians looking for flexibility, freedom, and the ability to travel. Cherry Health has created a self-serve physician job matching platform for locums, doctors, and medical clinics. Cherry Health wanted to centralize the messy process of locum opportunity seeking and placement, and has been adopted by just over ten percent of Alberta’s family physicians. Having proven the effectiveness of the product, the next step was to increase engagement and uptake. To help with this, DHC engaged on a project with Harvest Builders, a venture-building not-for-profit also based in Alberta. Harvest Builders helped Cherry Health to develop a robust, analytics and data driven marketing strategy that increased awareness and set them up for future investment. Additionally, DHC assisted by acting as the project and cost management center, ensuring successful completion of all project deliverables. DHC also de-risked the project through the cost-sharing program, reducing the financial burden on Cherry Health. As a result, Cherry Health was able to accelerate expansion to all provinces and garner increased recognition and investment.
